The Windows software used to display the slide show during ECC Meetings
- On a Windows machine, download this zip file
- Unzip it into some folder on your computer
- Create a shortcut to EccPhotoViewer.exe if you'd like to start it up easily
- Run EccPhotoViewer.exe and see whether your computer complains that something's missing.
- If you see no error, pick a folder that has the meeting's jpg images (or any folder with some jpg's) and skip the next 2 steps
- If something's missing, install Microsoft .Net Framework 4.0 (if this link no longer works, search for "Microsoft .Net Framework 4.0" and install it)
- Run EccPhotoViewer.exe again and verify that it works. Pick a folder that has the meeting's jpg images (or any folder with some jpg's)
- Press the "?" key to see the keys which do something within the program. The most important ones are the right-arrow key which advances to the next photo, and the left-arrow key which goes back to the prior photo.
- If you put a file named "_sa.txt" in the folder that contains the photos to display, the text contents of that file will be displayed when the first Special Assignment photo is displayed.
- If you'd like to have a program that corrects common mistakes in the filenames that members submit, download this zip file, unzip it into some folder on your computer, create a shortcut to EnforceEccFilenames.exe if you'd like, and run it on a folder where members have submitted their photos. It won't fix every problem, but will fix many common problems. The program will ask you to confirm each rename it suggests to you, and once it's finished it will display an empty window that you should just close.
